About me

As a coach I help Product Managers and PM leaders to achieve better results.

I have worked in technology since the early 90s and gained a wide range of experience through my time at both startups and large companies such as Google (8 years) and Meta (3 years).

I’ve created and launched new websites and apps, optimised existing products, and helped teams to scale as their scope grows. I started coaching in 2016.

A few highlights from my career in technology:

  • Created the Google Search App for Android and iOS — used by billions of people every day: as the first Product Manager and creator of this app I introduced many technologies now taken for granted such as location-based search, voice search, and the interactive search results for weather, finance and movies;

  • Learned a lot from my startup: in 2000 I raised $10m for a mobile/SMS shopping service (spoiler alert: unfortunately I was ahead of my time…);

  • Presentation coach for senior Google executives, and also a frequent presenter at top-tier external Google events (e.g. the World Economic Forum in Davos) and TGIF, Google’s weekly company-wide meeting;

  • PM for Spam at Facebook: supporting the team fighting automated abuse on FB’s platform.

More important than these highlights is that I've worked with many amazing people and learned a lot from them.

I don’t spend much time sharing my perspectives on social media because my primary work is 1:1 and personal. I occasionally post short articles here.
